City of Oxford Project South Lamar Avenue at Azalea Drive Intersection Improvements
The City of Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi, will receive bids for the intersection improvements and signalization at Lamar and Oxford Way, no later than 2 p.m. Local Time, November 5, 2020, at the Oxford City Hall located at 107 Courthouse Square, Oxford, MS 38655 Mississippi. All bids to be received and opened per section 906 Special Notive to Bidders for Bid Opening Procedures.

The work shall consist essentially of the following items: Adding turn lanes on South Lamar Avenue, ADA accommodations, pavement markings and signage. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required
by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein.

Contract Documents are available in paper or digital form. Interested parties are required to register online to view or order bid documents at www.oxfordmsbids.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Bids may be submitted in either plain, letter sized sealed envelopes with the name, address, and certificate of responsibility number clearly affixed thereto or electronically with the same information in the format presented on the website. Electronic bid submittal may only be made

For questions regarding the plan set and bid documents, contact Hunter Porter @ 662-882-0430. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the City. The
successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment bond each
in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. A Bid Bond of 5% is also
required for this project at the time of bid submission. The proposal and contract documents in its entirety shall be submitted at the hour and
date above designated. Work to be performed shall be in accordance with the “Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017”, together with all amendments and/or special provisions and/or addenda to the standards duly approved and adopted, unless otherwise noted in these specifications.

The attention of Bidders is directed to the provisions of Subsection 102.07 pertaining to
irregular proposals and rejection of bids.
